Heading to Hsinchu County (新竹), the third tour brought participants to the home of the largest Hakka community in Taiwan. A quick in bloom DIY session took place at Neiwan (內灣) New Hakka Culture Park (新瓦屋客家文化園區) , before the participants make their purchases and have a taste on various traditional Hakka foods along the old street. Then, at the generosity and courtesy of Daxi Tea Factory 大溪老茶廠each student get a mini gift and they are being taught with the techniques and tips of making a cup of good tea. The staff also explain and show the manufacturing process of black tea. On the way back to the university, the participants expressed their gratitude for such a pleasant outing and they look forward to having a similar tour in the near future.
